Room Attendant - Housekeeping

Summary of Position

The Room Attendants are responsible for ensuring that each guest’s room is presented according to the Inn at Laurel Point’s standards, while also focusing on creating an atmosphere of warm Guest Service, teamwork and excellence.

Potential candidates must be available to work on weekends.

Hours will vary depending on season.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms according to the Inn at Laurel Point’s standards. This involves changing the bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, changing the towels, removing all garbage, deep cleaning, etc.
• Actively participates in department specific initiatives working towards sustainable operations.
• To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Complies with the Inn at Laurel Point Inn’s procedures and code of ethics.
• Performs other tasks, which are assigned by management.
• Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience considered an asset.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Must have a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
• Team oriented.
