Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada
From January 17 – 20, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada is coming to Victoria!
Happening right in Victoria’s Inner Harbour (just steps away from some beautiful inner harbour facing guest rooms 😉) festivities will be happening every day.
From school visits, to a Hockey for All Community Rink, to the SHDIC Alumni and Celebrity Classic Game and of course the arrival of the Stanley Cup, there are events happening for everyone!
We’re especially excited to shoot at targets in the Fan Zone and for the Free Public Festival happening on Saturday! You can get autographs, see the Stanley Cup, stop at some tasty food trucks and more!
Hot Chocolate Festival
Next up is a delicious way to build community while supporting the BC SPCA
(The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
Local businesses, including Aura Waterfront Restaurant + Patio, Pure Lovin’ Chocolate and Bear & Joey are participating in Victoria’s first Hot Chocolate Festival!
From January 20 – February 20 they will be selling their unique hot chocolate creations with $1 from every purchase going to the BC SPCA.

There’s so many great dinner dishes to sample on their menu, so they’ve made it even easier for you and created a unique tasting experience.

Dine Around & Stay In Town
Back for its 20th year! Dine Around & Stay In Town is here from January 26 to February 11.
A beloved culinary festival, Dine Around features over 50 local restaurants offering special menus ranging from $25 to $65 per diner.
After filling up it’s time to rest up. If the drive home is too daunting after the feast you just had, you can make it a night on the town instead and enjoy discounted rates on room bookings.
You can book our “Stay In Town” rates starting at $209 + taxes in the Laurel Wing.
Jam-Packed January
We told you it was a jam-packed January, but those are just a few of the things we’re most excited about!
The fun doesn’t stop there though, from January 9 – February 18 the City of Victoria is bringing temporary pickleball courts to the Crystal Garden! The pickleball courts will be available for a mix of drop-in times, court reservations and registered programs. Find out more here.
You can also check out the Winter Arts Festival in Victoria, February 16 – 19. Downtown Victoria will be transformed into an open-air gallery and celebration with 3D art, light projections, performances and more.
