Consider the “off-season”. You’ll pay more for a weekend than a weekday, and that’s because weekends are in high demand. By holding your wedding on a weekday you could open your budget to many more options. Summer weddings are also typically more expensive than the rest of the year.
Create a Wedding Website. This eliminates the need for paper invitations, which not only saves you money, but also saves you the time of addressing and mailing them all out.
Host Your Ceremony and Reception in the Same Place. You’ll be paying for one place instead of two, need we say more?
Choose Flowers that are In Season. Flowers are surprisingly expensive, they can really add up. Sticking to flowers that are available locally and are in season can help cut that cost.
Pick a Venue that’s Beautiful. If you pick somewhere with existing beauty, you won’t have to spend more on decorations – our Terrace Ballroom is a great example 😉
Hire Local Vendors. If you hire vendors outside of the area, there’s a good chance you’ll be responsible for their travel costs. Ask our Event Planners for recommendations of great local vendors that we work with all the time!
Cut the Guest List. A quick way to do this is eliminate all plus one’s.
Borrow What You Can. Your “something borrowed” isn’t limited to just one item! Reach out to friends & family and see if they have décor, jewelry, dresses.
Skip the Wedding Favours. They’re a great way to show appreciation to your guests, but there are other, less expensive ways to do so. Favours often end up getting left behind, and there’s no bigger waste of money than something that goes unused.
Consider an Elopement. Less people = Less Money. Have you checked out our I Do, for Two Elopement Package?
