The countdown is on, and we at Inn at Laurel Point, are working to make your Christmas in Victoria BC the very best. We might not have snow, but the streets are twinkling, carols are being sung and horse-drawn carriages can take you to wherever you need to go.

Forget the boxed gingerbread houses, these eatable creations are the real deal. The ninth annual Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread Showcase is taking place at The Parkside Hotel & Spa. Admire these spectacular creations, while at the same time helping a charitable cause. Each gingerbread creation is crafted by professional and amateur chefs, who have turned the simple gingerbread house into works of art. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating Canada’- see for yourself how each house represents our nation.
While you may think that winter is not the ideal time to visit a garden, we can argue it is the best time for the world-renowned Butchart Gardens. Whether you believe in magic or not, the gardens during the holidays seem enchanted. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate as you walk through the glowing grounds, or lace up your skates and glide on the rink. An evening at the gardens will have you feeling as though you’re in a Christmas movie. It truly is a magical experience.
Get ideas for next Christmas and surround yourself with Christmas trees at the Festival of Trees. Held at The Bay Centre, in the heart of downtown, you can admire the creativity that goes into turning a regular tree, into a Christmas masterpiece. All proceeds from the event support the Excellence in Child Health Fund.
