Annual Lighted Ships Parade
December 1st 7pm
Willows Beach in Oak Bay
The event offers great family fun. Spectacular viewing of the fleet of lighted boats, led by a Canadian Navy training ship will be at Willows Beach at approximately 7:15 pm where the Kiwanis serve hot chocolate by donation at the Willows Beach pavilion.

Annual Truck Light Parade
December 2nd Approx. 6:30pm – 7pm
Government & Blanshard Streets
Lighted trucks and heavy equipment vehicles decorated by their operators light up the streets of Victoria festooned with dazzling Christmas lights.

Alberta Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”
December 1st to 3rd
Royal Theatre
Extravagant bejeweled sets and gorgeous costumes create a ballet that looks like a wonderfully illustrated children’s book. Be transported back to 19th century Russia with the captivating magic of this beloved holiday classic featuring the Victoria Symphony Ballet. Tickets start at $49

33rd Annual Christmas Lights Across Canada

Join special performers to celebrate the lighting of the provincial Christmas tree and the Legislative Assembly with thousands of Christmas bulbs.

Gingerbread Showcase

Feast your eyes on creative inspirations fashioned from gingerbread and other edible components. More than just houses, these are detailed sculptures and unique works of art crafted by professional and amateur chefs. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Canada”. Vote for your favourite with your donation to Habitat for Humanity Victoria.

Free Horse Drawn Trolley Tours
December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, & 23rd 12pm – 2:30pm

Tour Downtown Victoria with free horse-drawn trolley rides. Two free trolleys will circulate on a pre-set route throughout the downtown with 4 stops at: Store St. at Chatham St., Johnson St. near Wharf St. – In front of Willie’s Bakery, Langley St. at Bastion Square – Across from Re-Bar, Government St. at Fisgard St. – In front of CRD Plaza.
