
Cadboro-Gyro Park
A 20-minute drive from Inn at Laurel Point, this sandy beach is great for families. With picnic spots and a large playground, this dog-friendly beach is fun for the whole family. Year-round, your well-behaved dog can be off-leash in designated areas and yes, we here in Victoria go to the beach year round.
Fun fact – this is the park where His Royal Highness Prince George & Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte played when they visited Victoria.
Willows Beach
Only a 15-minute drive from the hotel, this is one of the most popular beaches in all of Greater Victoria for locals and visitors alike. This sandy beach has some amazing views of Discovery Island and Mount Baker. This is also a very family-friendly beach with a large playground and onsite concession stand.


Thetis Lake
Located a 20-minute drive from the Inn, this popular park has great lake swimming and is a perfect spot for non-motorized water sports such as kayaking or paddle-boarding. Thetis Lake is very popular spot, so be sure to arrive early to grab a spot!
Gonzales Beach
This scenic spot is located only a 10-minute drive from Inn at Laurel Point. This sandy beach is a great place to relax and enjoy the views. This beach is located in a residential neighbourhood, so parking can be limited (tricky).


Witty's Lagoon
Located a 30-minute drive from the hotel, this is the perfect spot to spend the day with your family. There is a large beach area and when the tide is out, this is a great spot for beach combing. It’s a bit of a walk from the main parking lot to the beach, so make sure to bring all your belongings on the first trip down!
Island View Beach
Located a 25-minute drive north of the Inn towards the BC Ferries terminal, this long sandy beach boasts amazing views of Mount Baker. There is an easy loop trail here for those looking to explore the area and it’s a great spot for bird-watching.


Esquimalt Lagoon
This is a great family-friendly spot with plenty of space to spread out. There are great views, especially at sunset and some awesome beach combing! Keep you eye out for various driftwood sculptures along the beach. Be sure to check out Beach Food Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays – check dates & times
