  • Minke Whale - all year round
  • Humpback Whale - all year round
  • Gray Whale - On north-bound migration route in winter months; south bound migration in October/November
  • Dall's Porpoise - all year round
  • Seals & Sea Lions - all year round
  • Diving Birds: Cormorant, Common Loon, Western Grebe, Common Murre, Pigeon Guillemot, Rhinoceros Auklet, Tufted Puffin, Marbled Murrelet
  • Birds of Prey: Bald eagle, golden eagle and Turkey Vulture
  • Ducks: Harlequin Duck, Surf Scooter
  • Shore Birds: Black Oystercatcher, Great Blue Heron, Belted Kingfisher
  • Gulls: Glaucous-winged gull, Western Gull, California Gull, Herring Gull
  • Sea creatures: snails, clams, oysters, mussels, sea stars, urchins, sea cucumbers, jellyfish, anemones, crabs and Bull Kelp (grows up to 80 feet long in one summer!)
