VICTORIA BC, June 26, 2024 – The team at Inn at Laurel Point welcomes Navid Sariolghalam as managing director and general manager. Bringing over 40 years of extensive experience in the hotel industry Navid has worked throughout hotel operations, from guest services to executive leadership across Canada. Navid looks forward to continuing to enhance service offerings and guest experiences at Inn at Laurel Point.

Navid’s journey began as a valet at Le Meriden in Vancouver. He worked in various departments throughout the hotel to eventually becoming vice president of The Sutton Place Hotels. “Small and thoughtful touches always play a big role in creating lasting memories,” says Navid, “and this philosophy extends to how we interact with our employees. Drawing from my diverse industry experiences, I value and empower each team member I work with.”

Navid’s humanistic leadership and passion for people has led him to provide ongoing support to local charitable fundraising initiatives in Vancouver, such as PALS Autism School, Canucks Ronald McDonald House, BC Children’s and BC Cancer. His commitment to giving back to the community aligns with the core values of Inn at Laurel Point as well as the hotel’s founders, Paul and Artie Arsens. Inspired by the hotel’s warmth and community-focused culture, Navid has relocated to Victoria from Vancouver and looks forward to becoming a part of this important community.

Eda Koot, outgoing general manager concludes her role this week after nearly three years with the hotel. “Our team is so pleased to welcome Navid and we’re excited to carry on the legacy of the hotel under his new leadership,” shares Koot.
