Inn at Laurel Point Hotel Gardens

Created initially as a display cake for a wedding show, the aptly named “ruffle cake” created quite a stir when it was displayed in Victoria and Vancouver. It was only in 2014, however, that a couple asked us to re-create the ruffle cake as it resembled the bride’s custom made, designer gown. This three tier cake was covered in ivory fondant, and fondant ruffles. It truly was a designer wedding cake.

The middle tier was adorned with a quilted diamond pattern and the cake was topped with an ivory sugar flower. Beneath the ivory fondant, our talented pastry team layered scrumptious vanilla sponge cake & rich lemon curd. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful.
